Reese’s Oreo Balls Recipe 🍫🥜

These Reese’s Oreo Balls combine the creamy richness of peanut butter cups, the crunch of Oreos, and a decadent chocolate coating for an irresistible treat. Perfect for holidays, parties, or just indulging at home!

Ingredients:

  • 1 package Oreos (14.3 oz, preferably peanut butter Oreos)
  • 1 package cream cheese (8 oz, softened)
  • Peanut butter cups (one for each Oreo ball)
  • Chocolate Candiquik or almond bark (for dipping)
  • Toppings: chopped Reese’s pieces and/or peanut butter candy melts for drizzling

Instructions:

1️⃣ Crush the Oreos:

  1. Allow the cream cheese to come to room temperature.
  2. Place half of the Oreos in a food processor and pulse until fine crumbs form.
  3. Add the remaining Oreos and pulse again until all cookies are finely crushed.

2️⃣ Mix with Cream Cheese:

  1. Transfer the Oreo crumbs to a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the softened cream cheese and use a hand mixer to blend until everything is well combined and forms a dough-like texture.

3️⃣ Form the Oreo Balls:

  1. Line a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper.
  2. Use a small cookie scoop to form uniform Oreo balls.
  3. Press a peanut butter cup inside each Oreo ball, roll into a smooth ball, and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Refrigerate the Oreo balls for 20 minutes to firm up.

4️⃣ Melt the Chocolate:

  1. In a small pot, melt the Chocolate Candiquik or almond bark over low heat, stirring occasionally until smooth.

5️⃣ Coat the Oreo Balls:

  1. Remove the Oreo balls from the fridge.
  2. Dip each ball into the melted chocolate using a fork, allowing any excess to drip off.
  3. Place the coated Oreo balls back onto the baking sheet. Repeat until all balls are covered.

6️⃣ Add Toppings:

  1. Let the Oreo balls sit for 1 minute before sprinkling with chopped Reese’s pieces to ensure they stick to the chocolate coating.
  2. If using peanut butter candy melts, wait until the chocolate coating has fully set before drizzling on top.

7️⃣ Let the Oreo Balls Set:

  1. Allow the Oreo balls to harden at room temperature, or speed up the process by refrigerating them for 10-15 minutes.

Enjoy!

Once set, these Reese’s Oreo Balls are ready to serve! Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.

Notes:

  • For extra peanut butter flavor, consider using peanut butter Oreos as the base.
  • You can also experiment with different toppings like chocolate sprinkles, or a drizzle of white chocolate for a festive look.
